KCMO Fire Station 36

Setting the standard for public safety

Coined the “Fire Station of the Future” by the city and fire department, Helix created the universal prototype for all new fire stations to be built in Kansas City, Missouri. The station features an open kitchen and living space where firefighters choose to spend time and develop camaraderie. In addition to creating one of the most efficient fire stations in the country, Helix streamlined the floor plan and paid special attention to user details. The station also emphasizes maintenance-free durability, increased privacy, and state-of-the-art engine bays. The Kansas City, Missouri, Economic Development Corporation honored the station with a Cornerstone Award for its impact on the community.
